Coastal Healthcare Consulting, Inc. (Coastal), an award-winning provider of information technology consulting services to hospitals, announced that Patricia (Pat) Oligmueller, MT(ASCP), PMP has been promoted to Vice President of Business Development for the firm. In this role, Pat will be responsible for growing Coastal’s healthcare consulting practice by pursuing business development opportunities with hospitals by focusing on providing consulting services for MEDITECH’s integrated software solutions.

Pat has significant healthcare information technology expertise, and has been a key member of the Coastal team for the last fifteen years. For the past nine years, Pat has served as a Vice President on the Coastal management team responsible for managing and guiding the Coastal staff and strategic planning for the company. In additional to her Coastal management responsibilities, Patricia continued to work on client engagements focusing on project management, clinical applications and interface design.

“Pat has been a vital part of Coastal’s success the last fifteen years due to her unique combination of hands on technology implementation experience, strong client and staff relationships and her ability to think strategically,” said Amy Collins, President of Coastal Healthcare Consulting. “As we look to grow our business in order help additional hospitals address their information technology challenges, it was fitting that Pat should take on this new role and responsibilities.”

Prior to Coastal, Patricia worked at The University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE as a LIS System Manager/Functional Analyst for five years and as a Registered Medical Technologist for eight years.

Patricia has a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from The University of Nebraska Medical Center, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a member of Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and Project Management Institute (PMI).
